Serve Locally...

**The nursery is available for help you as you serve with Christ Church ministry partners. Nursery hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 12:00pm in addition to the regular Sunday and Wednesday hours

Urban Mission Trip (Nov. 3-7, Atlanta, GA): Join a team of adults (18+) as we spend a few days in downtown Atlanta serving through outreach to the homeless community, VBS for children, outreach to neighbors in a neglected, urban neighborhood and more. Experience God in a fresh way by getting out of your comfort zone and serving alongside others in an urban environment. Registration deadline has been extended to Monday, October 4. Click here to learn more or register online.

“Everything Memphis,” International Friendship Ministry (Sept., 11, 4pm, The Refuge.): Come to this kick-off event where Chinese students, host families, and others will join together for an “everything Memphis” time of fellowship including barbecue tasting, the music of Elvis, and valuable information for students just arriving in the States. Come meet these students and consider being a host family! Contact Elizabeth Nearn, 289-3306, elizabethnearn@comcast.net.

Donate Grocery Items: Occasionally families come through our doors in need of groceries until a visit to a food pantry near their home, which likely has limited hours of operation. Help us meet this need by donating groceries. Click here for a complete list of needed items, or contact Abbye Pates, 261-4386, for more information.

**Most needed items right now: peanut butter, crackers (large boxes), breakfast cereal, fruit juice, rice, dried beans.
