Stewardship
Jesus Christ is God's greatest gift to us. Stewardship tells us to share a portion of our time, talent, and treasure so that the Gift, Jesus Christ, may be given to those who do not know Him.
Give
By giving what is God’s back to God first, we make Him king of all that we have—including our means of living. It furthers the Kingdom in a tangible way, deepens our dependence on Him, and is a form of worship through submission and obedience. It also opens the door for God to work in impossible ways that we can only experience by trusting Him.
Serve
We are given talents and gifts for a purpose: to serve God. By serving others in using those gifts, we glorify God and engage our hearts in something that is greater than ourselves. Stewarding our time and talents is just as critical as stewarding our money.
Repeat
Giving of our money and of ourselves is not something Jesus calls us to do once a year. It’s a lifestyle, a rhythm, that we were built for—one that fosters both worship of God and dependence on Him. Above & Beyond is simply a way to remind ourselves that this is how we are always called to live!
What we do with what we have reflects our heart. Join us in stewarding the next generation of our resources, our people, and our church.
Stewardship is based on…

God’s Word, not on the fundraising needs of the church.

an individual’s desire to give back out of gratitude, not on the church’s need to receive.

the premise that all we have and all that we are comes from God. As thanks, we are called to return a portion of what He has allotted to us.
A Christian steward is
one who receives God’s gifts gratefully, cherishes and tends them in a responsible and accountable manner, shares them in justice and love with others, and returns them with increase to the Lord.
You, Christian, are called to look outward and to place yourself at the service of the entire human community, especially those who are in most need. Each member of the church shares responsibility for its mission.
Stewardship is an expression of discipleship and worship, with the power to change how we understand and live our lives.
The Operating Budget
supports the church’s missions and outreach, missionaries, ministries, discipleship opportunities, and day-to-day operations. In addition, each area of ministry in the church requires a portion of the building, administration, apportionments, and personnel resources. All of this depends on our members’ systematic, regular giving of their tithes and offerings.
