Staff Updates

Student Ministry

Beth Gillock

During the last three years Beth has served as an intern/girls' coordinator in Student Ministry. Her internship is coming to a close. Beth will leave in September to pursue something new. We are thankful for Beth and her faithfulness to the young women in our ministry.

Watch for ways we plan to say thank you to Beth during the next several weeks.

New Interns

We are excited to introduce three new Student Ministry interns:

Casi Stansbury

Casi is a recent graduate of Visible Music College and moved all the way from Pennsylvania to attend. Since moving to town, she has fallen in love with Memphis and the people and local businesses in it--especially the restaurants! She loves to read, lead worship, go out for ice cream and spend time with her husband and two cats.

Andrew Morgensen

Andrew is from Oklahoma City, grew up playing soccer and went to college at Oklahoma State University. He came to Christ in college though a student ministry called Student Mobilization. God has blessed him with a huge passion for His Word and sharing the Gospel with others. Andrew came to Memphis last year to participate in Downline Ministries' Emerging Leader Program. He is truly thankful and excited to be able to work with Christ Church and minister to students.

Andrew will be part of the newly created Wesleyan Fellows Program in partnership with Asbury-Memphis. In addition to ministry responsibilities, he will be working to complete a master's of Christian leadership.

Ronnie Wright

Ronnie came to faith through a college ministry called Campus Outreach that met him where he was in his fraternity. He moved to Memphis for Downline Ministries' Emerging Leader Program last year and learned much in the Word, seeing that he had a growing passion to delve deeper into the Word and know Christ all the more. Ronnie loves playing sports and instruments and exploring. He is pumped to be able to serve alongside the staff to pursue the hearts of people and be an example of Christ while pushing them toward Christ.

Ronnie will also be part of the Wesleyan Fellows Program in partnership with Asbury-Memphis. In addition to ministry responsibilities, he will be working to complete a master's of Christian leadership.

We are excited to have each of these young leaders join us in Student Ministry for the next couple of years. Please join us in saying welcome by sending an encouraging email or note: Casi, Andrew, Ronnie. They will officially begin September 1 and will be introduced at the Student Ministry Family Lunch & Refuge Info Session on September 11.
