Go: The full details for this trip are detailed below, including the team's training schedule and deadlines.
What: This team will be serving at the ministries of the Bethlehem Bible College & East Jerusalem Church.
Who: This trip is open to adults and youth (not children).
Where: This team will be serving various ministries in and around Jerusalem, with tours throughout Israel (see below).
When: The team will depart on Thursday, November 4 and arrive back in Memphis on Sunday, November 14.
Cost: The estimated cost is $3,000 per person. The completed online application and $1,500 is due by Friday, September 3. The remaining $1,500 is due no later than Sunday, October 24. Limited scholarship funds are available as needed after seeking support from family, friends, and/or your community life group. The estimated cost does not include passports, vaccinations, shopping, or meals while sightseeing.
Vaccinations: Please visit the Center for Disease Control & Prevention website for full vaccine information. While participants should discuss the appropriate vaccines with their physician, the trip leaders have personally elected to obtain the following vaccines: Hepatitis A & B, Tetanus/Diphtheria. The vaccines may also be obtained at The Shot Nurse.
Sites: The final itinerary for this team is still being finalized, but will include many of the following sites: Church of the Nativity, Mt. of Olives, Gethsemane, Mt. Zion, Wailing Wall, Way of the Cross, Garden Tomb, Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Nazareth, Megiddo, Mt. Carmel, and the Sea of Galilee.
Organization & Registration: Any questions may be directed to our Missions Office. The registration deadline is Friday, September 3.
Goals: This trip is a component of our efforts to “Mobilize Servant Leaders.” The specific goals for this team are to:
- Explore opportunities to strengthen our support of the Bethlehem Bible College;
- Encourage and assist our ministry partners as they minister to Palestinians;
- Learn firsthand about the Church in Israel, which is predominantly Palestinian, and
- For our members to grow in their faith and heart for missions as they serve others around the world.
