PRAYERS

  • I acknowledge my sin and have received God’s forgiveness.
  • I thank God daily for who He is and what He is doing in my life.
  • I pray to seek God’s direction for my life.
  • I pray in earnest for other people.
  • I study the Bible daily to know God, the truth and to find direction for my life.
  • I respond to the message I hear from God through reflection on Scripture.

PRESENCE

  • I regularly (three out of four weeks) attend a worship service.
  • I regularly (three out of four weeks) attend a Sunday school class.
  • I believe I cannot grow as a Christian unless I am an active member of a local church.
  • I believe I cannot grow as a Christian unless I am an active member of a Community Life Group.

GIFTS

  • I am working toward giving 10% of my income to the local church.

SERVICE

  • I have found/would like to find a place where I can use my spiritual gifts in the church or community.
  • I know and use my spiritual gifts to fulfill God’s purposes.

Sunday School Groups

Power Hour

Bridging the Gap: an Urban Experience

A journey of experiential and scriptural learning about God’s heart for the the poor. Housed at SOS for the weekend, participants gather for worship and teaching and spend time in the city exploring day-to-day realities of those living in poverty. Contact Abbye Pates, 261-4386.
