D-Groups

What is a D-Group?

A D-Group consists of 8-12 students of the same grade and gender who are strategically joined together for the purpose of growing together in Christ. They have one weekly, scheduled meeting for Bible study, prayer and accountability. They also are challenged to serve in the community to see transformation in their lives.

What is a D-Group Leader?

Each D-Group is led by one or two highly invested adults who feel called by God to shepherd these young men and women in their journey by leading the weekly meetings, keeping consistent contact with the students and planning regular, fun events and/or outreach projects for the group. These leaders communicate regularly with the Student Ministry staff and serve as the hands and feet of the ministry.

Qualifications for D-Group Leaders:
  1. Be a member of Christ Church.
  2. Facilitate the weekly meeting where the group has Bible study, prayer and accountability.
  3. Keep weekly contact with your students outside of the meeting.
  4. Attend required D-Group leader's training meetings.
  5. Plan a time for fellowship outside of the weekly meeting, such as an outing, dinner or missions project with your students.
  6. We invite you to join us for our Student Ministry events and trips on a regular basis.
