HOW DOES CHRIST COLLEGE WORK?
There are two components to Christ College:
- Core Curriculum
- Practicum
CORE COURSES
All three of our core course are 10-14 weeks long. We offer two semesters—Fall &
Winter. Students choose to enroll
in either the Sunday night option (5-6:45 p.m.) or the Wednesday night option
(6-7:45 p.m.). The material covered
is the same for both nights.
These core courses are:
- Chronological Overview of the Bible
- Gospel Transformation
- Jesus People: The Character & Content of Christian Mission
There is only one core course offered each semester, and
students may take these courses in any order.
PRACTICUM
What makes
Christ College different from other disciple-making programs is the practicum
requirement.
The purpose of
the practicum is for you to apply what you have learned. The Christ
College faculty will work with you to define the appropriate context for you to
practice disciple-making. Here are
several options to choose from:
- Intentionally disciple someone one-on-one for six months.
- Become a Grace Group (small group) leader for 6-12 months.
- Lead an adult Sunday school class for 6-12 months.
- Lead a Student Ministry D-Group for 6-12 months.
- Teach children's Sunday school class for 6-12 months.
