College/Young Adult
The Young Adult Ministry at CUMC seeks to disciple, empower and mobilize adults 22-30+ to become disciple-makers through three means:
Sunday School
This is taught by Jason Hood and Robbyn Abedi. Jason and Robbyn teach through books of the Bible all while tying in the cultural significance of how one's life, in that age range, is affected by truths in scripture. This is a great "first step" to experiencing the Young Adult Ministry at CUMC. You'll find everyone welcoming, laid-back and ready to engage the scriptures.
Small Groups
Sundays offer a great time to be discipled as a whole, yet small groups offer life-on-life community. We believe life is experienced best through weekly community—a safe place to come and recharge during the week with others who are walking out their faith in Christ. Each group (men, women and couples) covers specific topics relevant to each specific make-up of the group.
Intentional Discipleship
Christ Church is abundant in what it has to offer for intentional spiritual formation. Christ College is our exclusive platform we use for discipleship at CUMC. We also offer seasonal discipleship intensives offered by staff and lay leaders on a smaller scale (i.e. five or less and one-on-one).
Lastly, we seek to experience life together through other means—weekly "trivia night" and a cookout we rotate homes with every seven weeks. Needless to say, there are a lot of inroads to experience growth and community.
